��` ����, � ��:.�.� Cit o� ORONO <br /> � :.=:r,:� �' <br /> • (��';��xK RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> s r�. <br /> ; `'' �`���� 20 81 <br /> � ,�,,l�.� NO. <br /> .L�g'1'r�.' <br /> � � � t <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED DESIGN CHANGES <br /> FOR COUNTY ROAD 15 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono approved the design plans for <br /> County Road 15 in its Resolution � 1694 dated October 29, 1984, <br /> i <br /> and <br /> WH�REAS, the plans in order to receive appropriate State <br /> funding required a variance which with one exception was granted <br /> by the Municipal State Aid Review Board , and <br /> WHEREAS, the exception required by them was alteration <br /> in the portion of County 15 between Wilshire Boulevard and <br /> Commerce Boulevard, and . <br /> WHEYtEAS, the volume of traffic in the corridor on County <br /> 15 between Lafayette and Interlachen/County 125 is quite heavy <br /> due to the commercial and multiple residential development there, <br /> and • . <br /> • WHE1tEAS , a wider section of bridge and attendant <br /> approaches at Seton Bridge from just east of Seton Bridge to <br /> 750 feet west of Bartlett Boulevard in order to allow 2 way <br /> traffic across the bridge during construction particularly public <br /> safety traffic such as Mound Fire to Spring Park, Orono and <br /> Minnetonka Beach, and . <br /> WHEREAS, a widening of the highway would facilitate the <br /> safety of that portion of the road without adversely affecting <br /> the volume of traffic coming into Orono, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County is requesting these approvals prior <br /> to final design plans. <br /> NOW, THEItEFO1tE B� IT R�SOLVED, by the City Counci 1 of <br /> the City of Orono does approve the proposed changes as outlined <br /> subject to the concurrence of the municipalities directly <br /> involved in these alterations to the County 15 development.
