RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> . � NO. 2072 <br /> • - • • <br /> A RESOLDTION ORDERING ASATEMENT <br /> OF HAZARDOUS BUILDING ACTION AT <br /> 4635 TONKAVIEW LANE, ORONO <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized <br /> and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, Dennis A. Meyer, 4731 North Shore Drive, Mound, MN <br /> 55364, is the owner and Richard Laughlin of 4635 Tonkaview Lane, Mound, MN <br /> 55364, has an interest in the property located at 4635 Tonkaview Lane, <br /> Orono, Minnesota, herein referred to as "the property", and legally <br /> described as fol lows: <br /> Tract D, Registered Land Survey No. 1036, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (P.I.D. 07-117-23 32 0027 ) ; and <br /> UIHERBAS, the City Council of the City of Orono, having duly <br /> considered the matter pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 to <br /> 463.261, hereby finds that the above described property is uninhabitable <br /> and contains unsanitary and hazardous conditions which constitute a public <br /> � nuisance and which makes this property hazardous to the public health, <br /> safety and welfare based on the foYlowing findings: <br /> 1. Interior wa11s: stud wali east end is rotten. <br /> 2. Interior ceilings: rafters appear to be under sized. <br /> 3. Exterior wal ls: in a state of disrepair, wood rotten �through out <br /> and east wa Y 1 has moved of f s lab. <br /> 4. Exterior si 11 s: ro�ten. <br /> � 5. Exterior doors: poor condition, broken and not in frame. <br /> 6. Roof: leaks, asphalt shingles are deteriorated. <br /> 7. Sof f its: rotted of f. <br /> 8. General Site�: pick up truck next to building is inoperable, tire <br /> off, appears as if it has sat for some time. <br /> 9. Electrical service: from principal building, make-shift. <br /> 10. The building is in a state of deterioration and dilapidation, thus <br /> it is a safety and health hazard pursuant to Minnesota State Building <br /> � Code/Uniform Building Code, Section 203. <br /> 11. Orders to remove or repair the structure were issued by the <br /> Building Official on February 3, 1986. These orders have not been <br /> complied with. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
