MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />• HELD AUGUST 16, 1993 <br />ZONING FILE #1850 - CONT. <br />Mabusth inquired if the contractor mentioned the hardcover issues and the fact that he was asked <br />to come back with a proposal showing needed hardcover removals in the 75 -250' setback. <br />Spinner said he was willing to narrow sidewalk but somewhat concerned about the pad. <br />Hurr suggested an updated survey be done before it goes to Council. <br />Nolan asked if a traditional 2 1/2' or 1 1/2' overhang would be considered. <br />Spinner said he would certainly consider it but wants to consult with his builder. He said all <br />the more reason to leave hardcover for wash purposes. We are talking about approximately 7' <br />of hardcover from the proposed garage to east. <br />Chair Schroeder asked if anything can be done tonight. <br />Mabusth stated she cannot recommend anything without an updated plan as a pad and access <br />stairs had not been added in. <br />Nolan added that applicant's builder should consider the overhang on the proposed new roof <br />which would cut down on structural hardcover and consider removing hardcover to the east of <br />the proposed addition. <br />It was moved by Schroeder, seconded by Smith, to table Application #1850 for James Spinner, <br />940 North Arm Drive, to allow the applicant time to reconsider additional hardcover removals <br />and provide the City with an updated survey.
