MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />HELD FEBRUARY 16, 1993 <br />ZONING FILE #1803 - CONT. <br />Mabusth suggested that the Planning Commission include in their <br />recommendation the applicant work with the City Engineer to assure <br />Orono standards are upheld and at some time consider steep slopes, <br />location of mature trees and location of existing and proposed <br />development. <br />Bellows polled the Commission and all agreed that the roadway <br />should be extended to the northern most lot line. <br />It was moved by Bellows, seconded by Rowiette, to recommend <br />approval of Application #1803 Woodhill Country Club, 200 Woodhil) <br />Road, for preliminary subdivision creating one additional <br />residential lot, subject to the upgrading of the private road <br />meeting the Engineer's recommendation for such road, and subject <br />to Conditions #1 through 4 in staff memo. L'ALLIER, <br />2684 LYDIARD AVENUE - <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - PUBLIC HEARING 7:10 - 7:19 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were noted. <br />Peter L'Allier was present. <br />Mabusth stated the former residence is currently being renovated. <br />The former detached garage was removed and replaced with a <br />structure that would sustain a second story garage attached by a <br />5' skyway. The building permit for the living quarters above the <br />garage were approved without a kitchen. The conditional use permit <br />is needed because applicants proposed the installation of a <br />kitchen. Access to the apartment is via the second story of the <br />principle structure through an open exercise area, with secondary <br />access through the garage and second story rear access stairs. <br />L'Allier stated the third access to the apartment is from the rear <br />through a porch area. He noted the reason for the guest apartment <br />is to provide a residence for his parents.
