Sec.13.0.:RIGHTS OF SUB.TECTS OF DAT?. Subd. 1. Type ot'data. The righrs of individual oa whom tbe data is stored or to be s�ored shall be as sec forth in this secdon. Subd.2. Access to data by iadiridual. lipon request to a responsible au�horiry,an individual shall be informed whe[her he is the subject of scored dara on individuals,and whe�her i�is classified as public, priva�e or conFdenrial. Upon his further requesc, an individual who is the subjecc of stored pcivate or public da[a on individuals shall be shown che dara wichout any charge to him and;if he desues, shall be informed of the concenc and meaning of chat data. Aher an individual has bcen shown the priva�data and informed of ics meaning,the dara need noc be disclosed to him for six monchs chereaiter unless a dispute or acdon pursuanc co this secaon is pznding or addidooai data on the individual has beea collzcced or crea�ed. The responsibte au�horiry shall provide copies of the private or public data upon request by the individual subjecc of chz data. Tne responsible aurhoriry may require the requesring person to pay the accual coses of making, cerafying,and compiling the copies. The responsible au[horiry shall comply immediacely, if possible, with any reques[made pursuant to this subdivision, or wichin five days of the dace of the request,excluding Sacurdays,Sundays and legal holidays, if immediace compliance is not possible. If he canaot comply with the requesc within tha�time,he shall so inform�he individual,and may have an addidonal five days within which to comply wi�h the request,ezcluding Sacurdays, Sundays and legal holidays. Subd.4. Procedure when data is not accurate or complete. An individual may contest che accuracy or completeness of public or private data concerning himself. 'Ihe responsib(e auehoriry shall within�0 days eicher: (a)corrc�the data found to be inaccurdte or incomplece and attempt to nodfy pasc recipiencs of inaccura�e or incomplece dara, inciuding recipiena named by [he individual; or(b)noafy the individual thac he believes�he data to be correct. Data in dispute shall be disclosed only if the ir.dividual's sc3tzmenc of disagreerr.ent is includzd wi[h the disclosed data.
