0 MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />HELD JUNE 15, 1992 <br />( #11) REPORT BY THE LAKE USE COMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVE <br />Chair Kelley reported the Committee is working on marina licensing <br />and styrofoam docks. <br />( #12) REPORT BY THE FACILITIES COMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVE <br />Chair Kelley said there has not been a meeting for several weeks. <br />Rowlette said things seem to have stopped on site. <br />Mabusth explained that they can not proceed with the footings for <br />the Police Department because both the State Corrections Department <br />and the Building Division were required to review the plan and have <br />required amendments or changes. <br />Bellows asked that these issues be reported to the Committee <br />members as they arise. <br />Mabusth advised that the City Administrator is advised on a daily <br />basis of the status of the property by the Building staff. She <br />stated that the footing contractor made some errors and a <br />structural engineer had to be called to the site to review the <br />• footings. Later there were also major problems found with the <br />installation of the masonry block walls. She indicated that the <br />job superintendent is doing an excellent job as well as the Orono <br />Inspectors. <br />Cl <br />Chair Kelley asked if there is a Council person informed of such <br />problems. <br />Callahan noted both he and Jabbour are the liaisons for the City <br />Facilities Committee. <br />( #13) OTHER ISSUES <br />There were no other issues. <br />( #14) APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was moved by Rowlette, seconded by Peterson, to approve the <br />minutes of the May 18, 1992 Planning Commission meeting. Ayes 4, <br />nays 0. <br />( #15) REPRESENTATIVE TO THE JULY 13, 1992 COUNCIL MEETING <br />Rowlette volunteered to attend the July 13, 1992 meeting. <br />15 <br />
