MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday, July 21, 2003 <br /> 6:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> ROLL <br /> The Commission met on the above mentioned date with the following members present: Chair <br /> Sandra Smith, Commissioners David Rahn, J. Mark Fritzler, late arrival Liz Hawn, Jeanne <br /> Mabusth, Cynthia Bremer, and alternate Jan Berg. Representing staff were Planning Director <br /> Mike Gaffron, Planners Melanie Foth and Janice Waataja, Recorder Kristi Anderson, and <br /> Council Representatives Jim Murphy/Jim White. <br /> Commissioner Zugschwert was absent. <br /> Chair Smith called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> (#1) #02-2809A RICK STERLING, 1300 VINE PLACE, VARIANCE AMENDMENT <br /> Chair Smith moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #02-2809, <br /> Rick Sterling, 1300 Vine Place, granting an average lakeshore setback variance to <br /> construct a 32'X12.5' deck addition. VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br /> (#2) #03-2911 PETER AND LISA RYSKAMP, 1080 WILDHURST TRAIL, <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> Chair Smith moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #03-2911, <br /> Peter and Lisa Ryskamp, 1080 Wildhurst Trail, granting approval of the conditional use <br /> permit for replacement of a permanent dock subject to staff conditions. VOTE: Ayes 6, <br /> Nays 0. <br /> (#3) #03-2912 MARVIN AND MAY SMITH, 1940 COUNTRY CLUB ROAD — <br /> VARIANCES—PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Chair Smith moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #03-2912, <br /> Marvin and Mary Smith, 1940 Country Club Road, front and side yard setback variances <br /> to allow the construction of a second story addition to the existing home. VOTE: Ayes 6, <br /> Nays 0. <br /> (#4) #03-2918 BRUCE SINGER, 330 TONKA AVENUE — VARIANCE — PUBLIC <br /> HEARING <br /> Chair Smith moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #03-2918 <br /> Bruce Singer, 330 Tonka Avenue, variances to permit construction of a new residence on a <br /> lot with area of 18,750 s.f.
