MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday, October 21,2002 <br /> 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> ROLL <br /> The Commission met on the above mentioned date with the following members present: Chair <br /> Sandra Smith, Commissioners David Rahn, Cynthia Bremer, J. Mark Fritzler, Liz Hawn, Janice <br /> Berg, and Jeanne Mabusth. Representing staff were Planning Director Mike Gaffron, Zoning <br /> Administrators Paul Weinberger and Wendy Bottenberg, Council Representative Bob Sansevere, <br /> and Recorder Kristi Anderson. <br /> Chair Smith called the meeting to order at 6:31 P.M. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> After neighbors expressed concern, item#3 was removed from the Consent Agenda. <br /> (#1) #02-2832 RANDY ARNESON, 625 DEBORAH DRIVE, CONDITIONAL USE <br /> PERMIT <br /> Hawn moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #02-2832 Randy <br /> Arneson, a Conditional Use Permit for plumbing in an accessory building for the property <br /> located at 625 Deborah Drive subject to the property owner filing the appropriate <br /> restrictive covenant on the property. VOTE: Ayes 7,Nays 0. <br /> (#2) #02-2833 G&G HOLDING COMPANY, 1160 LOMA LINDA,VARIANCES <br /> Hawn moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #02-2833 G&G <br /> Holding Co., 1160 Loma Linda, approving lot area and lot width variances to permit <br /> removal of the existing house and construction of a new house on the property subject to <br /> the conditions noted in the staff recommendation. VOTE: Ayes 7, Nays 0. <br /> (#4) #02-2835 THOMAS ADAMS, 500 ORCHARD PARK ROAD, RENEWAL <br /> VARIANCES <br /> Hawn moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #02-2835, <br /> Thomas Adams, 500 Orchard Park Road, approving the renewal of variances that would <br /> permit relocation of the existing house to the center of the property and to permit an <br /> existing accessory building to be closer to the front property line than the principal <br /> residence, subject to the conditions as approved by the original Orono City Council <br /> resolution of 2001. VOTE: Ayes 7, Nays 0. <br /> (#5) #02-2836 CHARLES AND JENNIFER PHELPS, 385 TURNHAM ROAD, <br /> VARIANCE <br /> Hawn moved, Mabusth seconded, to recommend approval of Application #02-2836, <br /> Charles and Jennifer Phelps,385 Turnham Road, approving a front yard setback variance <br /> to construct an 11'X 9' mudroom on the residence.
