MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday,June 17,2002 <br /> 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> (#02-2796 GINA KOSEK,Continued) <br /> Smith felt more concessions needed to be made before she could support the application. <br /> Ms. Kosek concurred with Commissioner Rahn that the old shed ought to be removed, in fact, she had <br /> suggested to him herself. <br /> Rahn moved,Bremer seconded,to approve the hardcover variance for Application#02-2796,Gina <br /> Kosek, 1875 Shadywood Road,on the condition that the old shed be removed,all stone borders and <br /> nonessential boulder walls be removed,and the original south driveway as required by the first <br /> permit. VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 2. With Fritzler and Bellows dissenting for reasons expressed <br /> earlier. <br /> (#4)#02-2776 HENNEPIN COUNTY,3880 SHORELINE DRIVE,RENEWAL VARIANCES <br /> Smith moved,Bellows seconded,to table Application#02-2776 Hennepin County,3880 Shoreline <br /> Drive,as no representatives for the Applicant were present. VOTE: Ayes 6,Nays 0. <br /> (#12)PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR MAY 20,2002 <br /> Smith moved,Fritzler seconded,to approve the Minutes of the May 20,2002,Planning <br /> Commission Meeting as presented. VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0,Berg abstained. <br /> (#11) OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Gaffron reported that the Dahlstrom Development proposal was denied by City Council. Gaffron <br /> requested that the Planning Commission hold an additional work session the week before the next <br /> meeting to discuss the future of that site and upcoming proposals being formulated by Dahlstrom. <br /> Smith mentioned that Long Lake is currently seeking grocery store bids. <br /> Gaffron added that the medical clinic proposal by Dr. Berg was approved. <br /> Fritzler reported that during the May 28, 2002 City Council meeting he attended the Croutteau revised <br /> plan was approved with a cantilevering revision and detached garage to be planned at a later date. <br /> (#13) SELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS ON JUNE 24, <br /> 2002 AND JULY 8,2002. <br /> June 24 -Berg July 8 - Smith <br /> Gaffron scheduled July 10, 2002 for the regularly scheduled work session. <br /> PAGE 28 OF 29 <br />
