MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday, November 20,2000 <br /> (#2640/2641 ORONO AMBAR, Continued) <br /> Gaffron noted a work session is scheduled with the City Council for December 7h to discuss <br /> this item. Gaffron stated a work session is also needed in order to discuss the proposed <br /> ordinance. Gaffron stated if this application is tabled,the Planning Commission will not see it <br /> again until January. Gaffron suggested that a formal meeting could be held in December to <br /> discuss this project. <br /> Nygard suggested meeting sometime after the City Council meeting. <br /> Mayor Jabbour suggested that perhaps a joint meeting with the Planning Commission be held on <br /> December 7h. Jabbour stated the City needs to look at providing higher density housing. <br /> Hawn inquired whether this matter could be sent on to the City Council without a <br /> recommendation. <br /> Gaffron stated the City Council will probably send it back for review by the Planning <br /> Commission at some point. Gaffron stated the Planning Commission could give conceptual <br /> approval to this plan. <br /> Lindquist moved,Stoddard seconded,to give conceptual approval to Application <br /> #2640/2641,P.U.D./Subdivision/Rezoning/Commercial Site Plan, and to send this <br /> application forward to the City Council for their comment. VOTE: Ayes 6,Nays 0. <br /> Hawn noted there is not a consensus on the appropriate density. <br /> Dunbar indicated he is not opposed to extending the 60 day time limit. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br /> (#12) REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING <br /> COUNCIL MEETINGS OCTOBER 23, 2000 AND NOVEMBER 13, 2000 <br /> This item was not discussed. <br /> (#14) PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING FOR OCTOBER 16, 2000 <br /> Berg moved, Nygard seconded, to approve the minutes of the Regular Planning <br /> Commission meeting of October 16, 2000, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br /> Nygard moved, Lindquist,to approve the minutes of the Regular Planning <br /> Commission meeting of September 25, 2000, as submitted.
