LURTON OFF LEASH DOG PARK (continued) <br /> <br />Edwards indicated there is a plan to install a small concrete pad that a biffy could sit on at this park and <br />that it would be similar to what is at other parks in the City. Edwards stated it is not proposed to have a <br />surround-around at this time but that it can be added later at a fairly minimal cost. <br /> <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />Levang moved, Printup seconded, to authorize the Mayor to sign the Amended and Restated Post <br />Closing Agreement. APPOINTMENT OF 2016 EMPLOYEES – UPDATE 1 <br /> <br />Walsh moved, Printup seconded, to approve hiring Calvin Schmidt as the 2016 Golf Course <br />Maintenance Assistant. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER REPORT, CONTINUED <br /> <br />Edwards reported on the following activities by the Public Works Department: <br /> <br /> Pothole filling has been completed on East Long Lake, Hunter, and the Public Works parking lot. <br /> Culvert repair has been completed by the dentist office. <br /> The lift station rehabilitation has been completed, with some minor site restoration work needing <br />completion. <br /> The Public Works Department has been working with MCES on the Shoreline Drive project. <br /> The Russell Street access to CSAH 15 will be closed starting May 2 for two weeks for the MCES <br />project. <br /> The Public Works Department has performed numerous utility locates. <br /> The Public Works Department hosted the annual clean-up day, with 208 people stopping by to <br />drop items off. <br /> The newly hired seasonal park worker is now on board. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT <br /> <br />9. 2015 ORONO POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNUAL REPORT <br /> <br />Police Chief Correy Farniok presented the 2015 Orono Police Department Annual Report. The Orono <br />Police Department serves Minnetonka Beach, Mound, Orono, and Spring Park. <br /> <br />Farniok reviewed the organizational chart for the department and the calls for service. The Police <br />Department had a response time of 5.11 minutes for Priority I calls, with a total of 2,322 Priority I calls <br />being received in 2015. The response call for all types of calls averaged 6.94 minutes, with a total of <br />8,310 calls received. The City of Mound comprised 41.5 percent of the total calls, followed by Orono <br />with 43 percent, Spring Park with 12.8 percent, and Minnetonka Beach with 2.7 percent. <br />
