The City of Orono Building Official Lyle Oman made a note on the building <br /> permit that a handrail was necessary for the front steps even though there was an existing <br /> concrete foundation there previously, as indicated on the plans <br /> At the time of the final inspection your crew was still working on the deck steps and <br /> landing area of the front porch and I assumed that the handrail would be taken care of. I <br /> was wrong in my assumption. The project is still not complete as to what was submitted <br /> for the variance and the notes on the building plans from the Building Official. <br /> Please take the necessary steps to install the handrail by July 7th, 2008 and arrange for an <br /> inspection of said handrail.
