The water supply well must be properly abandoned by a licensed
well contractor; the State may issue a permit to allow it to remain unused for a certain period of time.
Additionally, the City code does not allow an accessory structure to be constructed or remain on a
property without a principle structure. This letter is your notification to complete or address the
following:
1. Obtain a demolition permit and demonstrate that the foundation was entirely removed.
2. Hire a licensed plumbing contractor to obtain a sewer disconnect permit and expose the
disconnection point for inspection.
3. Provide well abandonment record or provide a written approval from the State to retain the
well.
4. Discuss your plans for the accessory structure with the Melanie Curtis in the Planning
Department at 952.249.4627.
Please address the above issues by or before Monday, October 13, 2014 to avoid any further action by
the City. Feel free to contact me at my office if you have any questions at 952.249.4625.
Sincerely,
 .o—
L Oman
Y
Orono Building Official
