Tiered walls are considered one wall unless they are separated by at least twice the height of the higher wall
are considered one wall. Should the walls be constructed closer together than depicted or should the top wall increase
in height, a design will be required.
Adam
From: Christine Mattson
Sent:Thursday, March 10, 2016 3:01 PM
To:Adam Edwards<aedwards@ci.orono.mn.us>
Subject: FW: 787 Boulder Drive/#2016-00157
We have received an updated survey for 787 Boulder Drive. The site plan and construction plans do not agree. The east side Elevation of the building plans depicts a stone
retaining wall which is not depicted on the site plan. The inclusion of a retaining wall will impact the overall
grading and drainage plan of the site. The retaining wall is depicted at^'4ft. Walls 4' or greater in height must be
designed by a licensed professional, and plans must be submitted to the City for review prior to the approval of
the permit.
2. The plan notes call for the installation of rock construction access but do not depict its location. The locations
for such an entrance are limited. Special care must be exercised to ensure the existing driveway servicing the
neighboring homes is not damaged or blocked and that the hydrant and water curb stops are not damaged
accessing the site.
3. A separate permit for utilities connections will be required.
4. Perimeter erosion control measures should be installed by the Contractor and inspected by the City prior to any
work, including demolition. Contractor must provide minimum 24 hour notice prior to inspection.
