<br /> We have reviewed the proposal to install a 6-inch draintile line north from lhe existing pond within Olci Crystal
<br /> Bay Road Adciition; across Lots 1,2 and 3, Blcx.k 3; under Countryside Drive West; and across Lots l, 2 and
<br /> 3, Block 2 to improve the subsurface drainage in this area. Silt fence should be installed at the downstream
<br /> limiks pric�r to commcncing with the work. The draintile line must be installecl at a ►ninimum grade of 0.6
<br /> percent to prevent siltatiun within the pipe. Clean�uts shouId be iltstalled at all angle points in the line, �paced
<br /> no more than 400 feet ap�trt. At least six cleanc�uts will be needed Liased on the submitted lay��ut skttch.
<br /> Dr<unage e�.+sements will neec�to be provided ten feet wide centered on the draintile line across Lots 1 and 2,
<br /> Bl�xk 3 and Locs I and?,Blcxk 2. As-built pl��s sho��id be submitted with the actual draintite line locations
<br /> shown within one month of completing the work.
<br /> Countryside Drive West must be rep�ured W its original cross-section or to a minimum of geotextile fabric,
<br /> eight inches of Class 5 aggregate base, 1(X?%n crushed quarry rock,ar�d 3,5 inches af bituminou� mixture{Type
<br /> 41 j whichever is gre�tter. '[7�e rontractor must take care to cut the existing geotextile fabric at the center of the
<br /> trench and pull the fabric aside while instaliing the draintilc, ancl thc lay the f3bric back over the compacted
<br /> trench. A new pie.ce of fabric shal� then he installed over the cut fabric to form a suitable overlapped joint.
<br /> The bituminous mlist be placed in [wo lifts. Ail backfill below the Class 5 aggregate must be granular borrow
<br /> matenal meeting MnDOT Specificatian No. 3149. Access along Countryside Drive West rnust t� maintained
<br /> at all times, keeping one lane of traffic open, Traffic control must be installed and rnaintaineci in accordance
<br /> with the MMU"T'CD. 'The City should be notified for inspection a[[east 24 hours prior to re�i�oving the surface
<br /> uf Countryside Drive West. We would recommend a$tU,Oi)0 letter of cretiit t�e ��rovided to the City to insure
<br /> that t�e work is done satisfactorily.
