The city may waive this <br /> requirement in lieu of a cash escrow or lettec of credit equal to 1�0 pei•ce�1t of the cost to install the required <br /> buffer. <br /> (e) The city may allow the disturbance of an existing buffer area durina the course of construction <br /> activitv. This disturbance must be kept to a minimum, soils must be decom�acted to a level that will <br /> accommodate root �rowth, and the buffer area must be re-established as required by the citr�. The city will <br /> determine the amount of allowable dist�n�bance. The cit}� may require a cash escro�v or letter of credit equal to <br />
