Staff conducted a preliminary review <br /> based on the information provided and recommends the following items be submitted or revised in order for your <br /> application to be considered complete and for the plan review to continue: <br /> 1. Certificate of Survey. Staff has reviewed the survey and has the following comments. <br /> a. The survey should clearly identify which improvements are existing and which are proposed. <br /> Currently the pool is the only project shown as "proposed". Please update the survey and submit for <br /> our review. <br /> b. The pergola appears to be 9-feet from the pool basin. According to City Code Section 78-1438 <br /> (attached) structures must be separated by 10-feet. Please adjust pergola location and submit an <br /> updated survey. <br /> c. It is unclear which side of the property will be used for construction vehicles. The septic areas should <br /> be fenced off and inspected prior to the commencement of the project. <br /> 2. Separate City Permits Required for: <br /> a. Zoning Permit. The retaining walls, patios and walkways to be constructed including a� additional <br /> exterior/landscaping improvements, i.e. patios, grading, sidewalks, retaining walls, require a <br /> separate Zoning Permit(application attached). <br /> b. Building Permit. A building permit is needed for the construction of the Pergola. <br /> An email dated May 7, 2015 from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) discusses the wetland being <br /> further than 150' from the proposed project; thank you for the clarification. The email does however address a <br /> potential need for an erosion control permit. Please contact the MCWD directly at 952-471-0590 regarding your <br /> project. Please note, the City of Orono will not issue a building permit without a copy of MCWD permits or <br /> documentation from the MCWD stating the proposed project does not trigger any of their permitting requirements. <br /> The above information is required in order for the plan review to continue.
