•Y r.1 <br /> ' �.W . <br /> clt� o� oR,oNo <br /> • RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � NO. 2285 <br /> � <br /> . • - • • <br /> A R�SOLIITIOYd GRANTING <br /> A VARIANCE TO <br /> RiUNICIPAL ZOIdING CODE - <br /> SECTIOPi 10.23, SIIBDIVISIOId 6 (B) <br /> FILE #1208 <br /> WHTR�AS, Michael Sayler (hereinafter "the applicant") is the <br /> owner of the property located at 1990 Spates Avenue within the City of , <br /> Orono (hereinafter "City") . and legalYy described folYows: <br /> Lot 15, Ora Park on Lake Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a variance to <br /> Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.23, Subdivision 6 (B) to permit the <br /> construction of an 'enclosed entryway located Iess than the required 30' <br /> from the side Iot. line. <br /> � NOW, THSREFORE, B� IT RESOLVl3D by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> • FINDINGS � <br /> l. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1208. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR-lA Singl.e Family Lakeshore <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this �application on October <br /> 20, 1987, and recommended approval of the proposed variance based upon <br /> the following findings: <br /> A) The entryway of 4' by 6' will make the residena� more energy <br /> efficient. <br /> B) Because of the narrow ( 50' ) width of the Iot, the existing <br /> house Iocation at the center of the lot necessitates a side <br /> setback variance from both side lot lines. <br /> C) The proposed entryway wiI I cause no significant encroachment <br /> on light, air, or open space in the neighborhood. <br /> 4. The City Council has considered this application including the <br /> findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission, reports by <br /> City staff, comments by the applicant and the effect of the proposed <br /> variance on the health, safety and welfare of the community. <br /> • <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
