The proposed site for the garage is - located <br /> approximately 80 feet in front of the existing house and set back <br /> approximately 195 feet from the front lot line. <br /> NOW, THERI3FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> • Minnesota: � <br /> FINDINGS <br /> l. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1173. <br /> 2•. The property is located in the RR-1B Single Family Rural <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on July <br /> 20, 1987, and recommended approval of the proposed variance based upon <br /> the following findings: <br /> A) The proposed garage location will have less of an impact on <br /> the property involving minimal amounts of land alterations. <br /> B) The proposed site has natural screening three seasons out of <br /> f our. + <br /> C) The steep topography of the north and west sides of the house <br /> makes these locations unfeasible. <br /> D) The well is located on the east side of the house. <br /> . E) The septic system is located in the backyard. <br /> � .. 4. The City Council has considered this application including the <br /> findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission, reports by <br /> City staff, comments by the applicant and the effect of the proposed <br /> variance on the health, safety and welfare of the community. <br /> ' ' Page 1 of 3 <br />
