' NO. 2228 <br /> ,X. <br /> • - • • <br /> �,. <br /> SPECIAL COMMENDATION <br /> WHEREAS, Nathalie Welch is a Reserve Officer for the <br /> City of Orono, and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 29 , 1987 , Officer English requested <br /> assistance at an Orono residence in conducting surveillance for a <br /> possible break-in. Reserve Welch assisted Officer English in <br /> surveillance at the residence in the City of Orono, and <br /> WHEREAS, Reserve Welch in conducting this surveillance <br /> did observe the suspect vehicle drive up to the residence under <br /> surveillance, and <br /> • WHEREAS , Reserve Nathalie Welch maintained a calm <br /> demeanor in notifying police dispatch that the suspects had <br /> returned to the residence, and <br /> WH�3R�AS, Nathalie Welch utilized all skills learned <br /> within the Reserve Unit to assist officer in apprehending the <br /> suspects in a professional and safe manner, and <br /> WHEREAS, Nathalie Welch further assisted with search <br /> warrants for stolen articles from the Orono High School. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Nathalie Welch be <br /> commended for her professional attitude, dedication and conduct <br /> which allowed the Orono Police Department to successfully pursue <br /> charges against individuals involved. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br /> Minnesota at a regular meeting held July 27, 1987. <br /> -- -------------- <br /> Jame R.
