' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � � � NO. 2227 <br /> • - • • <br /> SPECIAL COM�IENDATION <br /> WHEREAS, Randy 0'Brien is a Reserve Officer for the City <br /> of Orono, and <br /> WH�REAS, Randy O'Brien on April 15, 1987, was requested <br /> to assist Officer English in executing two search warrants in <br /> regard to thefts from the Orono High School , and <br /> WHEREAS, Randy 0'Brien assisted in maintaining safety at <br /> the search warrant address and assisted in searching the <br /> residence for stolen merchandise, and • <br /> WHEREAS , Randy 0'Brien through his training and <br /> • experience in handling these types of situations in a <br /> professional and independent manner, allowed officers to conduct <br /> their searches and subsequent recovery of stolen articles . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Randy 0'Brien be <br /> commended for his skills in assisting police officers when <br /> conducting search warrants which led to subsequent charges being <br /> filed against two Orono High School students for the break-ins to <br /> the students locker rooms. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br /> Minnesota at a regular meeting held July 27, 1987 . <br /> — ------------ <br /> Jam s R. ra , ayor <br /> ATTE T: <br /> `\�' ---- -- ------- . <br /> othy M~ allin, City Clerk <br /> • <br />
