,- -� <br /> Cit� o� ORONO <br /> � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � NO. 2199 <br /> � <br /> ' � � • • <br /> RESOLOTION OF APPRECIATION <br /> s <br /> WHEREAS, Lorraine McGowan has been employed in the Orono <br /> City Liquor Store since October 10, 1966; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lorraine McGowan became the Liquor Store <br /> Manager on May 26, 1975 and served as that Manager until the City <br /> closed the facility on May 31, 1987; and <br /> WHE REAS, Lorraine demonstrated her best efforts to run a <br /> small, friendly neighborhood liquor store for the City of Orono; <br /> and <br /> WHERSAS, the hard work, diligence and friendliness of <br /> Lorraine paid off in the Orono Liquor Store having many longterm <br /> . dedicated customers because of that excellent work; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lorraine McGowan demonstrated her abilities to <br /> • make the operation prof itable in an industry and size of market <br /> that has been in a downswing for a number of years; and <br /> WHEREAS , Lorrair�e ' s dedication to her job is <br /> demonstrated by the excellent work she did up to the store's <br /> close resulting in sales being up dramatically for the first five <br /> months of 1987. <br /> NOW, TH��FORE BE IT R�SOLVEHD, the City of Orono on <br /> behalf of its Council and staff would like to acknowledge its <br /> appreciation in this manner for the excellent work done by <br /> Lorraine McGowan for her many years of dedicated service. <br /> � Jam R.
