• MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON <br />FEBRUARY 22, 1994 <br />( 0) #1897 R. HUNT GREENE AND JANE E. PICARD - 865 PARTENWOOD ROAD <br />- CONTINUED <br />Nolan moved, Peterson seconded, to approve #1897 for R. Hunt Greene and Jane E. Picard <br />located at 865 Partenwood Road for the 650 square foot addition and limiting the overhang along <br />the side to 1.5' and retaining the backout area. Ayes 6, nays 0. <br />( #5) #1902 DAN R. GUENTHNER <br />120 GOLDEN VIEW DRIVE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - PUBLIC HEARING <br />Mabusth reviewed the staff report and noted the presence of Dan Guenthner and John Hallson. <br />Chairman Schroeder commented he felt the applicant should be required to protect the existing <br />septic system. Mabusth stated there had been no calls to staff regarding this item. Mr. <br />Guenthner stated the structure would be constructed with steel rather than wood. <br />Nolan asked about the applicant's intention of farming on the Suess property, and Mr. Guenthner <br />responded that he had decided against that because it was not workable. Nolan inquired if there <br />would be any retail sales from the property and Mr. Guenthner responded that sales would be <br />• wholesale only. <br />Peterson moved, Smith seconded, to approve #1902 Conditional Use Permit for Dan R. <br />Guenthner at 120 Golden View Drive subject to the following stipulations: <br />1. Structure shall be installed to meet all required standards of the State Building and Fire <br />Codes. <br />2. Use of the structure shall be limited to the specific period of March 25 - June 15. <br />3. When the structure is taken down, the structure must be removed immediately from the <br />site and not stored on the 6.5 acre parcel. <br />4. Notice to owner of property of potential of eliminating suitable septic areas on property <br />because of the use of heavy equipment compacting soils. Existing and alternate septic <br />sites must be staked prior to the installation of greenhouse or any other land alterations. <br />6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />• <br />2 <br />
