Lateral nailing and withdrawal: Load <br /> capacity shall be as specified in UBC code <br /> for#2 Douglas Fir. <br /> 2. Nailing along narrow(top)face of beam: <br /> Minimum spacing shall be: <br /> • 8d nails:3 inches. <br /> • lOd or 12d nails:4 inches. <br /> • 16d nails on an LVL beam: 5 <br /> inches. <br /> • 16d nail on a PSL beam:8 inches. <br />
