Page : 2 of 5 <br /> WEATHERING: The frame head and jambs contained a single strip of two finger vinyl located in the fised <br /> channel facing out.The finger seal located in the frame head was applied the full length of the <br /> fised panel onl��. <br /> The false jamb contained the follo�ving: <br /> 1) The operable pocket contained a single strip of 0225" Q-lon bulb facing in and one <br /> facing out. <br /> 2) The fixed panel pocket contained a single strip of two-finger vinyl facing out. <br /> The following members contained a 0.380" overall high polypile weatherstrip: <br /> 1) Frame head- one strip in the operable channel facing out and one facing in. <br /> 2) Frame sill- one strip on the innermost leg facing out. <br /> 3) Fixed interlock- one strip facing in. <br /> 4) rlctive interlock—one strip facing out. <br /> The operable panel bottom rail contained a full length push-in vinyl flap sealing against the <br /> threshold.r�t each end, the flap seal was fitted into an aluminum insert that in turn was fitted <br /> into the stiles. <br /> HARDWARE: At each end, the operable panel bottom rail contained an adjustable tandem steel roller in a <br /> metal housing. <br /> Thirty-nine inches up from the bottom rail, the lock stile contained a recessed dual point <br /> mortise lock and handle assembly fastened in place with a pair of screws.When closed and <br /> locked, each hook on the lock engaged a stainless steel strike in the false jamb fastened with <br /> three#10 x 1/2"PFH screws and bolts. <br /> CONSTRUCTION: The frame corners were each mechanically joined with a pair of#8 x1.25"PPH screws and each <br /> of the panel corners with two#8 x 2"PPH screws. <br /> The debridged widths were as follows: Frame = 0.28",Interlocks = 0.32",Rails and stiles = <br /> 0.22;Insert= 0.19". <br /> The primary fixed panel was secured to the frame as follows: <br /> 1) An aluminum T-clip was secured to the frame head and interlock with �#10 PPH screw <br /> in each leg. <br /> 2) The bottom of the interlock was secured with an aluminum angle clip. The clip slipped <br /> into a channel at the bottom of the interlock and held in place with a #10 PPH screw, the <br /> clip was then secured to the sill using one#10 PPH screw. <br /> 3) The fixed panel jamb stile was fastened to the interior center leg of frame jamb at mid- <br /> span with one#8 x 1/2" PPH screw. <br /> The dead fixed panel was secured to the frame as follows: <br /> 1) r,n aluminum T-clip was slipped into a channel at the top and bottom of the false jamb. <br /> The vertical leg of each clip was fastened to false jamb a#8 x 1/2" PPH screw <br /> respectively; the horizontal leg of each clip was secured to the frame with a #10 x 2"PPH <br /> screw respectively. <br /> 2) Forty inches up from the bottom rail, the fixed stile was fastened to the false jamb with a <br /> #8 x 1/2" PPH screw from the interior and exterior. <br /> 3) The jamb stile was fastened from the interior to the frame jamb at mid-span with a #8 x <br /> 1/2" PPH screw <br />
