 Roger Peitso
From: Roger Peitso
Sent: Wednesday, March 23, 2016 5:20 PM
To: 'pete@Welchforsman.com'
Cc: Jeremy Barnhart; Christine Mattson
Subject: 1220 Brackets Point Road
Pete,
Here are the details I talked to you about on the phone about today.
1. Provide details for the radon system and location of the sump basket(s)
2. FYI if any of the ductwork for heating the house is outside of the building envelope duct testing is
required.
3. Provide specifications for the connectors for the cast stone pieces.
4. What codes is this building being constructed under, the structural plans reference the IBC.
5. Special inspections are being called out so;
a. Who is doing the inspections?
b. What is the inspection schedule?
c. I will need copies of the inspection reports, field notes and final assessments.
6. All details show the weather barrier being terminated behind the flashing, the water resistive barrier is
required to terminate on top of the flashing per the 2015 Minnesota Residential Code Sec. R703.7
7. Will the 1" space between the brick and the sheathing be grouted full or not?
8. Will the ledger plate attached to the I-beams for the L5 X 5 X 3/8 for the brick ledge as shown 7/S6.2 be
attached to the wood framing? Also what will be done at these similar locations for flashing and
drainage?
These are very elaborate plans and I have spent 4 or 5 hours getting familiar with them and I hope I have
caught everything that might come into question. I will be reviewing these plans more tomorrow so I will be in
contact you as soon as possible if I have any more questions.
Sincerely,
City of Orono
Roger Peitso
Building Official
City of Orono
Phone: 952-249-4600
Direct: 952-249-4625
Email: rpeitsoCaci.orono.mn.us
Fax: 952-249-4616
:
i 3
..
, p  - ;
  ,
•,,c,r.'"`.
1
