Upon his funh�r r.quzst,an irdividual who is the subject of stored private or pubiic dara on individuals shall be shown che dat�wichout any charge to him and;if he d�sires, shall be informzd of che contenc ar.d meaning of chat data. Ahar an individual has been shown tfie priva�data and informcd of iu meaning, tha dzti need not be disclosed to hi.m for six monrhs[htreaiur unless a dispu[e or acdon pur�uant to this secdon is pending or addiriooal dac3 on che u:dividual has been collecced or creac`d. The responsibla authoriry shall provide copies of the private or public data upon rcquest by the individual subjecc of[he dac�. Tne responsibte autfioriry may requir che requesring person to pay thz accual coscs of making,cerrifying,and compiling the copies. The responsibla auchoriry shall comply immediately,if possible,wi�h any request made punvant to[his subdivision, or wichin five days of the da�e of the request,excluding Sacurdays,Sundays and legal holidays,if immediate compliance is not possible. If he cannot comply with the rquest within that tima,he shatl so inform[he individual,and may have an addiaonal five days within which to comply wich the requesc,exctuding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. Subd.4. Procedure when data is not accurate or complete. An individual may contest[ha accuracy or comple�eness of public orpri�•ate dara conceming himself. To exercise�his ri¢ht,an individual shaIl noafy in wriang[}te responsible auchoriry d�s:ribing the na[ure of the disagzeemeat. The responsibie auchoriry shail within 30 days ei[her: (a)corrct the daca found to bz inaccurdte or incomplem ar.d aaempt to norify pasc recipiencs oE inaccurdte or incompiete data, including recipients named by the individual;or(b)nodfy che individual that he believes[he data to be coaect. Data in dispu[e shall be disclosed only if the individual's sc3temen[of disagreemenc is includzd with the disclosed dar�. The decerminarion of the responsiblz auchoriry may be appealzd pursuan�to the provisions of the 2dminis[rariva procedure act reladng to contested eases.
