Install landscape edging along the east side of deck facing our house that will <br /> extend from the north property line to the south property line. <br /> 2. Lay sod /grass over the existing 2 to 3 foot wide gap that exists on the east <br /> side of the deck from the north property line to the south property line. We will <br /> spread a small amount of black dirt before laying sod. The thickness will not be <br /> more than 1 to 2 inches and will act as a foundation for the grass. <br /> 3. The new sod /grass will continue at the same level or grade from the yard to <br /> the east towards the deck to the west over the span of 2-3 feet. We will not <br /> change the natural slope of the yard towards the deck. <br /> 4.
