, Clt� o� ORONO <br /> : � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � <br /> � NO. 1976 . <br /> � • - • • <br /> '� GENERAL COMMENDATION • <br /> *� � ROSEMARY ROSEDAHL <br /> Y_�� <br /> vi <br /> �j WHLREAS, on Sunday, February 23, 1986, an armed robbery <br /> # was committed at� the Snyders Drug Store in the City of Long Lake, <br /> �+� and • <br /> � <br /> ,, <br /> ';� WHEREAS, through the efforts of Rosemary Rosedahl the <br /> � <br /> suspect was apprehended and has been charged with aggravated <br /> � ; robbery by the Hennepin County Attorney's office; and <br /> �:� WHEREAS, Rosemary Rosedahl provided police with a <br /> �: description of the suspect and on February 24, 1986 , when the <br /> ' suspect telephoned her , she engaged him in a telephone <br /> f <br /> ' conversation for approximately one and a half hours during which <br />� time Northwestern Bell Security had ample time to trace the <br /> telephone call thereby enabling the coordination of law , • <br /> �� enforcement personnel from Hennepin County, Orono Police, Ramsey <br /> ' County Sheriffs Department and New Brighton Police to apprehend <br /> ' the suspect; and � <br /> �; • . <br /> = WHEREAS, an alert and cooperative citizenry is essential <br /> . to maintaining law and order ; and <br /> WHEREAS , � the City of Orono wishes to commend and ' <br /> encourage the involvement of its residents in the overall ., <br /> � protection of the community; and <br /> ; <br /> � NOW, TH$R�FORE B�i IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br /> the City of Orono hereby highly commends Rosemary Rosedahl on the <br /> � above stated actions and express their gratitude that Rosemary <br /> ' Rosedahl is willing to step foreward and be counted protecting <br /> the community and maintaining it as a safe place to live and <br /> - conduct business. <br /> � Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br /> Minnesota at a regular meeting held April 14, 1986. <br /> � c <br /> - �� Mary .
