Building isin a state of deterioration and dilapidation, thus it is a safety and health hazard pursuant to Minnesota State Building Code/Uniform Building Code, Section 203. � • 14. Orders to remove the structure were issued by the Building Official on August 31, 1984, and May 22, 1985. These � orders have not been complied with. 15. That the City at the request of a representative of the Big Island Board of Governors did delay . consideration of Hazardous Building proceedings from August 12, 1985 to March 10, 1986 . As they indicated a joint effort of the Board and the State of Minnesota was working to bring them into • compliance. • • AIOW, THERFFQj�� gg IT g�SOLVED as follows: 1. That the City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to the foregoing findings and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 to 463.261 hereby orders the • owner(s) of the Big Island Veteran' s Camp property to raze and remove or repair the structure on the property. . 2. The City Council of the City of Orono further orders that � . unless this corrective action is taken or an answer is � , served upon the City of Orono and filed in the Office of the Clerk of District Court of Hennepin County, Minnesota, within twenty (20 ) days from the date of the service of this order, a motion for summary enforcement of this order will be made at District Court of Hennepin County. 3. That the City Council of the City of Orono further orders that if the City is compelled to take corrective action herein all necessary costs expended by the City will be assessed against the real estate concerned and collected in accordance with Minnesota Statute, Section 463.22. 4. That the City Council of the City of Orono hereby � authorizes and directs the Mayor, City Clerk, City • Attorney, and other of f icers and employees of the City to � take such action, prepare, sign and serve such papers as are necessary to comply with this Order and to assess the cost thereof against the real estate described above for • collection along with taxes.
