Building is in a state of deterioration and dilapidation, <br /> thus it is a safety and health hazard pursuant to <br /> Minnesota State Building Code/Uniform Building Code, <br /> Section 203. <br /> 14. Orders to remove the structure were issued by the Building <br /> Official on August 31, 1984, and May 22, 1985. These <br /> � orders have not been complied with. <br /> 15. That the City at the request of a representative of <br /> the Big Island Board of Governors did delay <br /> . consideration of� Hazardous Building proceedings <br /> from August 12, 1985 to March l00 1986 . As they <br /> indicated a joint ef f ort of the Board and the State <br /> of Minnesota was working to bring them into ' • <br /> compliance. ' <br /> . NOW, 'i'ARRFFD�r� gg IT g�SOL�IED as follows: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to the <br /> foregoing findings and in accordance with Minnesota <br /> Statutes Sections 463.15 to 463.261 hereby orders the <br /> • owner(s) of the Big Island Veteran' s Camp property to raze <br /> and remove or repair the structure on the property. <br /> •2. The City Council of the City of Orono further orders that <br /> ; . unless this corrective action is taken or an answer is <br /> .�_ served upon the City of Orono and filed in the Office of the <br /> Clerk of District Court of Hennepin County, Minnesota, <br /> within twenty (20 ) days from the date of the service of <br /> this order, a motion for summary enforcement of this order <br /> will be made at District Court of Hennepin County. <br /> 3. That the City Council of the City of Orono further orders <br /> that if the City is compelled to take corrective action <br /> herein all necessary costs expended by the City will be <br /> assessed against the real estate concerned and collected <br /> in accordance with Minnesota Statute, Section 463.2-2. <br /> 4. That the City Council of the City of Orono hereby <br /> �. authorizes and directs the Mayor, City Clerk, City <br /> � Attorney, and other officers and employees of the City to � <br /> take such action, prepare, sign and serve such papers as <br /> are necessary to comply with this Order and to assess the <br /> cost thereof against the real estate described above for <br /> � collection along with taxes. <br /> .
