Island Veteran' s Camp, Orono, Minnesota, herein referred to as Big . <br /> Island Veteran' s Camp, and legally described as follows :. <br /> _ . _. . ,, _ .. _,.. <br /> Lot 2 Unplatted 23-117-23 21 0001 _ <br /> W�RFas, the City Council of the City of Orono, having duly <br /> considered the matter pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 <br /> e to 463.261, hereby finds that the above described Ballentine Cabin is ' <br /> unhabitable and contains unsanitary and hazardous conditions which <br /> constitute a public nuisance and which makes this property hazardous <br /> to the public health, safety and welfare based on the following � <br /> findings: � <br /> 1.. Electrical wiring is in a state of disrepair and is a <br /> potential fire hazard. <br /> 2. Holes in sheetrock walls created from vandalism. <br /> � 3. Hole chopped in exterior of wall from vandalism. <br /> , <br /> 4. � Windows broken. <br /> 5. Fire alarms (smoke detectors ) are not provided. <br /> 6. , The surrounding area around the building contains high <br /> weeds and brush which creates a fire hazard. <br /> 7. Building is in a state of deterioration and dilapidation, <br /> thus it is a safety and health hazard pursuant to <br /> Minnesota State Building Code/Uniform Building Code; <br /> � Section 203. <br /> 9. That the City at the request of a representative .of • <br /> • the Big Island Board of Governors did delay <br /> consideration of Hazardous Building proceedings <br /> from August 12, 1985 to March 10, 1986.
