r . <br /> �~ : � � C�t o� ORONO <br /> � <br /> • � RESOWTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � NO. 1854 <br /> � ' • • <br /> A RSSOLUTION ESTABLISHING SEWER ASSESSMENT POLICY <br /> NAVARRL AREA LIFT STATIONS NUMBERS 6, 7, 8, 13 AND 22 <br /> WHEREAS , Resolution # 162P1 dated April 9 , 1984 , <br /> established a policy for the area for the connection charges; and . <br /> WHBR$AS, all properties in the Navarre area are required <br /> to pay an initial $225.00 per unit hookup to cover the original <br /> cost of sewer; and <br /> WHBREAS , all new properties with stubs have been <br /> assessed $15�d.P10 per unit for the bypass; and <br /> WHEREAS , potential residential units that were not <br /> assessed $150.0P1 per unit should pay such a charge; and • <br /> WHERSAS, potential capacity for the system done by �the <br /> • bypass for lift station number 6 and the force main at lift <br /> station number 7 have created a new capacity in the area of <br /> approximately 200 units; and <br /> WHBRSAS , there is a potential 116 residential units <br /> without current stubs that may come on the line in the future; <br /> and <br /> WHERSAS, this potential may not be used up for a number <br /> of years and therefore the realistic potential is approximately <br /> 6P1 new residential units; and <br /> WHER$AS , based on the realistic 60 new units of � <br /> residential property the cost per unit is approximately $985.PlPI <br /> for future connections; and <br /> WHEREAS, existing commercial units do consume part of , <br /> that capacity when they increas� usage and should pay their fair <br /> share of the hookup charges; and . <br /> WHERgAS, the City has a time cost of ho'lding money. . <br /> � . , <br />
