��s�- Clt� of ORONO � <br /> . ,�4�� � � � <br /> � �`� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �'�'.� NO. 17 5 2 , <br /> A� • <br /> '• • • <br /> , A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ORONO, <br /> • HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA REQUESTING A <br /> VARIANCE FROM CURRENT MUNICIPAL STATE AID STANDARDS � <br /> WHEREAS, Municipal State Aid Street 1�2 (Old Crystal Bay <br /> Road) was constructed with a vertical alignment which provides <br /> for a 3P! MPH design speed on the Hill Crests @ G0+67 , 88+17 , <br /> 91+92 and 1016+17. <br /> WHEREAS , reconstruction of the present roadway to - <br /> correct the vertical alignment would not be in the best interests ' <br /> of the City because extensive work would be required with no � <br /> � significant benefit. <br /> WHEREAS, the vertical alignment problem can be mitigated <br /> • by properly siqning the street segments for a 30 MPH speed limit. <br /> . NOW, THEI2EFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of <br /> the City of Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota that the City <br /> Consulting Engineer is authorized to request a variance to <br /> Municipal State Aid Standard 14MCAR Section 1.5P132, 8SR 2146, <br /> 882Q�.991�J (Rural Undivided Geometric Standards) for MSAP 152-1P12- ' <br /> 08 . <br /> The question was on the adoption of the resolution and upon a <br /> vote being duly taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br /> thereof: Mayor Butler, Councilmembers Grabek, Frahm, T. Adams <br /> and L. Adams <br /> The following voted against same: none <br /> WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted <br /> this 22 day of April, 1985. <br /> . �;� C - <br /> . Mary C.
