Bowman (hereinafter "the applicant" ) is <br /> owner of the property located at 10 Willow Drive South within the City <br /> of Orona (hereinafter "City" ) and legally described as follows: <br /> � Lot 1, Block 1, Kelley and Kelley Division (hereafter . <br /> "property" ) , and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a variance <br /> to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.28 , Subdivisions 5 (B) to permit <br /> the con5truction of a detached garage 27 .8 feet from the side street ' <br /> . where a 50 foot side street setback is required, and a variance to <br /> ,': Section 10. 03, Subdivision 9 (D) to allow a detached garage to be <br /> constructed' nearer tlie front lot line than the principal building. <br /> • NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: . <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as zoning file #862. <br /> 2.� The property is located in the RR-1B Single Family Rural <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed thisapplication • <br /> , on September 17 , 1984, and recommended approval of the <br /> proposed variance based upon the following findings: <br /> " a) The proposed garage location will make efficient use <br /> of the existing driveway and apron. <br /> ' b) The proposed location will eliminate the need to <br /> remove a number of mature trees on the site. <br /> " • � <br /> page 1 of 4 <br />
