Thompson (hereafter "the applicant" ) has <br /> an interest in the property located at 250 Old Crystal Bay Road within <br /> the City of Orono (hereafter "City" ) , and legally described as <br /> follows : <br /> That part of Lot l, Auditor' s Subdivision Two Hundred <br /> twenty-nine (229 ) , Hennepin County, Minnesota, according to <br /> " the plat thereof on file or of record in the office of the <br /> Registrar of Titles in and for said county, lying Southerly <br /> of .a line drawn parallel with and 240 feet Southerly of , as <br /> measured at right angles to, the North line of said Lot 1 and <br /> lyinq Westerly of a line drawn parallel with and l, 070 feet <br /> Easterly of, as measured at right angles to, the West line of <br /> said Lot 1 (hereinafter "the property" ) ; and <br /> • WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a <br /> variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10. 20 Subd 3 (K) to permit the <br /> keeping of horses for the purpose of breeding, training and sale <br /> to the public. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOI,VED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> Findings <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File No. 850 . <br /> 2. The property is located in the RR-1B Single Family Rural <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this <br /> application on August 20 , 1984 and recommended approval <br /> of the proposed variance based upon the following <br /> � findings: <br /> a) The applicant' s principal residence will be � <br /> located on the property. <br /> b) The proposed application requires no additional <br /> � variances to the performance standards for the keeping <br /> of domestic animals. <br />
