FORFEIT LAND FOR PUBLIC USE <br /> BY THE CITY OF ORONO <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and <br /> existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282, theCity has received from <br /> Hennepin County a list of Iands within the City which have become the property of <br /> the State of Minnesota for" non-payment of real estate taxes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said lands for compliance with <br /> local zoning ordinances, for the amount of outstanding special assessments <br /> remaining unpaid to the City, and/or for possible public use by the City as <br /> authorized by the statutes. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br /> Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 282.01, Subdivision 1 , hereby <br /> �pplies to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and to the Commissioner of <br /> Revenue of conveyance of the following tax forfeited land to the City for <br /> recreation purposes. <br /> The City Council hereby states that such lands are substandard or <br /> otherwise unsuitable for private use and that there is a need and justifiable <br /> public purpose for said lands to be conveyed to the City. <br /> PARCELS RETAINED FOR USE BY THE CITY <br /> DISTRICT PLAT PARCEL P.I .D.
