CITY of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF Tib l§YLOUNCIL `9kESH04�0 NO. J i <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING ASSESSMENT OF <br />HAZARDOUS BUILDING ABATEMENT COSTS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council declared that the property at 1245 Arbor Street, Orono, Minnesota, <br />was hazardous within the meaning of Minn. Stat. § 463.15, subd. 3.; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owners did not comply with the City Council's Demolition Order for <br />Removal of Hazardous Building; and <br />WHEREAS, the City brought this matter to Hennepin County District Court for summary <br />enforcement of its Demolition Order for Removal of Hazardous Building; and <br />WHEREAS, the Honorable Linda J. Gallant, Referee of District Court, ordered summary <br />enforcement of the City's Demolition Order for Removal of Hazardous Building; and <br />WHEREAS, that Court ordered that all costs may be specially assessed against the real property; and <br />WHEREAS, assessment of these costs against the real property is specifically authorized under <br />Minn. Stat. §§ 429.061, 429.081, and 463.21; and <br />WHEREAS, the costs associated with this hazardous building project total $5,743.50; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Orono hereby <br />assesses the amount of five thousand seven hundred forty three and 501100 dollars ($5,743.50) against the <br />following described parcel, said assessment to be payable in a single installment pursuant to Minn. Stat. § <br />463.21. The City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the Hennepin <br />County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the County. <br />Lots 12 and 13, Block 2, Maxwells Addition Crystal Bay Lake Minnetonka. <br />PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 13th day of November, 2007, by the City Council of <br />the City of Orono, Minnesota. <br />ATTEST: <br />11,4e� <br />Linda S.
