Bid Tabulation. 1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with re-roofing the salt shed and Navarre garage roofs. 2. Background. Both buildings are experiencing shingle failures due to curling shingles. The shingles that were applied to both roofs are organic shingles and are past the life expectancy and need replacement. The Navarre Water Treatment Plant garage roof was installed in 1984. The salt shed roof was last re-shingled in 1998. 3. Project Scope. On both structures- tear off and dispose of old shingles, apply ice and water as needed, apply 15# felt to rest of roof, and apply shingles. 4. Cost. The lowest quote from a qualified contractor was $10,562.00 from GC Builders. 5. Funding. The projects are budgeted in the CIP against the Improvement/Equipment Outlay Fund for the salt shed roof and Sewer Fund to pay for the Navarre Water Treatment Plant roof.
