In the case of holidays falling on the <br /> persons regular work day, they shall receive the prorata amount <br /> earned for a holiday regardless of hours scheduled. If the <br /> holiday falls on a day not scheduled to be worked, they shall be <br /> paid the prorata holiday hours for that day or may take another <br /> day off with the prorata hours earned for that holiday, with <br /> the prior written approval of the department head.
