Christine Mattson
From: Adam Edwards
Sent: Friday, January 16, 2015 2:36 PM
To: Christine Mattson
Cc: Melanie Curtis
Subject: 2015-00040 2470 Carman St
I've completed a grading review of the proposed plans for the permit/ property listed in the subject line and provide the
following comments:
1. All comments are based on the assumption that the driveway easement for 2470 across 2490 Carman way has been
granted.
2. The drainage swale on the west side of the property is shown as extending onto the neighboring property. An
agreement should be entered into by both property owners prior to the commencement of any grading operations. If
not agreed to by both owner the grading plan must be redone to show all grading operation contained on 2470 lot.
3. The erosion control plan (silt fence placement) appears sufficient to deal with the erosion, however is depicted as
extending onto the neighboring property to the west. An agreement should be entered into by both property owners
prior to the commencement of any grading operations. If not agreed to by both owner the erosion control plan must be
redone to show all silt fencing contained on 2470 lot.
4. The silt fence shall be installed and inspected by the City prior to any land disturbing activities. The Contractor must
provide a minimum 24 hour notice prior to inspection.
5.A separate utility permit will be required for the sewer connection/reconnection.
Adam
Adam T. Edwards, P.E.
Director of Public Works/ City Engineer
City of Orono
(952) 249-4661
aedwards@ci.orono.mn.us
1
