A summary of the <br /> inspection is below. <br /> Septic Tank Condition <br /> 1. Pumpout needed within one year(last pumpout date 6/25/96). <br /> The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance bet�veen the bottom <br /> � of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a City <br /> Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic <br /> system must be replaced by December 31, 2010. <br /> Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors �vho �vork in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br /> enclosed is a fact sheet explaining ho�v a septic system functions properly.
