All stair slabs on grade, unless otherwise noted, shall be 4"thick with 6x6-W1.4xW1.4 <br /> WWF centered in slab. <br /> POURED CONCRETE WALLS <br /> Unless otherwise noted on plans or sections, reinforce poured concrete walls with#5 verticals at <br /> 48" on center inside face and#5 horizontals at 24"on center inside face. Provide#5 x 4'-0" (2'-0" <br /> each leg) corner bars at 24" on center, horizontal reinforcing, at corner of wall with 3-#5 vertical <br /> support bars. All wall openings larger than 12" shall have 2-#5 all sides of openings. Extend <br /> reinforcing 2'-0" beyond each edge of opening. Wall reinforcing is continuous through columns. <br /> REINFORCED CONCRETE BLOCK WALLS <br /> See plans for locations of reinforced walls.When one bar is in a single core place in center, <br /> unless noted otherwise. When two bars are in a single core, place one near each face. Fill block <br /> core at vertical steel with 3,000 p.s.i. grout, rodded or vibrated in place. Do not rod with <br /> permanent reinforcing bars. Wall construction shall not exceed heights of 4'-0" before placement <br /> of core grout unless cleanout holes are provided at the bottom of each grout lift,then a maximum <br /> height of 8'-0" before placement of grout. Vertical steel shall be continuous with a 30 diameter <br /> lap in column piers and 48 diameter lap at all other splices unless noted. Provide horizontal joint <br /> reinforcing place every 2�d course. No. 9 gage side rods and no. 9 gage cross rods. Hollow unit <br /> concrete masonry shall be ASTM C90 grade N. <br /> Mortar and grout shall be per ASTM C-270: Type M or S for below grade and exterior masonry, <br /> type N for all interior above grade masonry. <br /> DIMENSION LUMBER <br /> Dimension lumber shall be No. 2 hem Fir or equal forjoists, beams and headers. Wall studs shall <br /> be Stud Grade SPF or equal. Spacing of bridging for joists shall not exceed 8'-0". Wood lintels <br /> and headers shall have a full 1'/z" length of bearing at each end unless notes otherwise. Double <br /> all joists under parallel partitions. All beams and joists not bearing on supporting members shall <br /> be framed with "Simpson Strong-Tie"joist hangers or equal. Interior walls to have 2x4 studs at <br /> 16" on center. Exterior walls to have 2x6 studs at 16"on center. Wood joists shall bear the full <br /> width of supporting members (stud wall, beams, etc.) unless otherwise noted. Wood beams <br /> made of 2 or more 2�c's shall be bolted together with 3/8"diameter through bolts at 2'-0" on center <br /> or equivalent spikes. Sill plates to be bolted to foundation walls with 'h"diameter anchor bolts at <br /> 4'-0" on center maximum to extend 15" minimum into grouted masonry. Each sill plate to have a <br /> minimum of 2 bolts with one bolt located within 12"of each end of each piece. Nailing to be in <br /> accordance with Table 2304.9.1 of the I.B.C. <br /> LVL WOOD MEMBERS <br /> LVL members noted on drawings are laminated veneer lumber as manufactured by the Trus-Joist <br /> MacMillan. Equivalent at contractor's option. Sizes shown on plan are actual size. <br /> Fb=2,600 p.s.i., E= 1,900,000 p.s.i. <br /> WOOD ROOF TRUSSES <br /> Lumber for wood roof trusses shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> Trusses shall be designed for a top chord superimposed load of 45 p.s.f. and a bottom chord load <br /> of 10 p.s.f. or as listed on the drawings. Submit certified calculations with shop drawings. <br /> Spacing of roof trusses shall not exceed 24" on center. Truss configuration, pitch, overhang, etc. <br /> shall be indicated on the architectural drawings. <br />
