A summary of the <br /> inspection is below. <br /> Se�tic Tank Condition <br /> 1. Pumpout not needed at this time. <br /> The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance bet�veen the bottom <br /> of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a Cit}� <br /> Code. A soil borin� was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic <br /> system must be replaced by December 31, 2010. <br /> Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who �vork in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br /> enclosed is a fact sheet explaining how a septic system functions properly.
