VIOLATION REPORT <br /> Defendant: Harold F. Bower <br /> 1080 North Brown Road <br /> Long Lake, MN 55356 <br /> Inspector: Lyle Oman, Building Official <br /> Location of Violation: 1080 North Brown Road <br /> Violation of: Orono Municipal Code Secs. 9.50, 10.60 Subd. 10 and 10.61 Subd. 5(A) <br /> Description of Violation: Defendant is storing 10 vehicles on his property in a residential <br /> zone. 3 of the vehicles do not have current registration. None of <br /> the vehicles have moved for months and do not appear to be <br /> operable. City staff has received complaints from at least 3 <br /> different sources. <br /> Chronology: <br /> 5/8/91 City received complaint. Violation notice sent to defendant - requires <br /> compliance before 5/22/91. <br /> 5/17/91 Defendant calls and requests extension of deadline until6/1/91. Extension <br /> granted. <br /> 6/1/91 Vehicles licensed some questionable if operable. <br /> 12/5/91 City receives complaint - violation notice sent requires compliance before <br /> 12/15/91. <br /> 12/15/91 Met on site with defendant. Defendant explained hardships and the need <br /> for vehicles - promises to do whatever he can to bring property in <br /> compliance. <br /> 2/11/93 City receives complaint. Letter sent - requires compliance before 3/4/93. <br /> 2/25/93 Defendant requests extension of deadline until3/12/93 -extension granted. <br /> 3/12/93 Inspection conducted - 10 vehicles on property. 6 unlicensed, 1 licensed <br /> but has accident damage. All vehicles snowed in and have not moved for <br /> months. Defendant requests further extension until 3/22/93. Letter sent <br /> granting extension until 3/22/93 and requiring compliance with Orono <br /> Municipal Code Secs. 10.60, Subd. 10 and 10.61, Subd. 5(A) restricting <br /> parking to approved yard areas. <br /> 3/22/93 Site inspection 3 vehicles unlicensed -parking in violation of 10.60, Subd. <br /> 10 and 10.61, Subd. 5(A). <br /> 3/31/93 No change <br />
