A summary of the inspection is <br /> below. <br /> Septic Tank Condition <br /> 1. Pumpout not needed at this time. <br /> The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance beriveen the bottom <br /> of the drainfield to the seasonally high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code;not a City <br /> Code. A soil boring �vas conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally�vatertable. The residence <br /> must connect to the municipal sewer system no later than December 31, 2007. <br /> Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors �vho �vork in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br /> enclosed is a fact sheet explaining how a septic system funcrions properly.
