Gar ge 2nd <br /> - Design live loads : Roof = 4o psf + drifting, Flo r = SOpsf Floor = 40psf <br /> - Contractor shall provide all necessary temporary bracing and shoring as required <br /> until the structure is complete. <br /> - All dimensions to be verified by contractor befo e beginning construction. <br /> - All masonry shall be fm= 2000 psi at 28 days and shall be laid up in running bond. <br /> Use type 'M' mortar below grade and type 'S' mortar above grade. Type 'N' mortar <br /> may be used in interior non-bearing walls above grade. Use portland cement (not <br /> masonry cement) in mortars. "Dur-O-Wal" or equa is recommended in every third block <br /> joint (24"o.c. ) for a crack free basement. Grou top two courses of block cores <br /> under posts and beam bearing unless noted other ise. <br /> - Protect all concrete and masonry from freezing. <br /> - Concrete shall be f�= 3000psi at 28 days unless noted otherwise. Use 6% air entrainment <br /> in concrete poured in freezing weather or concr te poured in warm weather but will <br /> be exposed to freezing temperatures. Topping f r garage floor shall be 4000psi w/6� air <br /> - Core fill for block walls shall have 2" max. si ed aggregate and shall be f�= 3000psi <br /> at 28 days. Concrete shall be "rodded" or vibra ed to make sure it fills the full <br /> height of the wall. Fill all cores of pilasters full height. <br /> - Reinforczng bars shall be deformed grade 60. La splice 48 diameters. <br /> - Reinforcing for basement walls (if reQuired) sh 11 be as shown on plan. <br /> . Lap splice 48 diameters. Fill core with 3 OOpsi concrete. <br /> - Structural steel shall be A-36 (tube columns - y=46ksi) . Welds shall be E70. Supplier <br /> shall design all connections not detailed on t e plan. <br /> - Dimension lumber (except for trusses) for. typi al framing shall be 4�2 or better hem <br /> fir or spruce pine fir unless noted otherwise. Glulams shall be 24F-V4 doug fir. <br /> Manufactured lumber beams (LVL) such as Micro= ams or similar shall be 2800f. <br /> - Thoroughly spike together frcm both sides all uilt-up stud posts, headers, beams, <br /> and multiple trusses. Concentrated loads from osts, beams etc. shall be carried <br /> � down through roofs and floors to supports belo by means of wood blocking installed <br /> \ � with face grain horizontal for new structures nd grain vertical for existing <br /> � structures. Blocking bearing area shall be at east equal to area of posts or beam <br /> \ _ bearing above. Headers, beams and posts shall e free of splits and large knots. <br /> All wood exposed to weather, soil, exterior co rete and masonry shall be preservative <br /> � treated or decay resistent such as redwood or edar. <br /> � - <br /> Headers and beams shall bear full width of sup orts unless noted otherwise. <br /> - Roof and floor trusses and all bracing shall e designed, manufactured, and installed <br /> in accordance with the "Truss Plate Institute' . Design calculations shall be certified <br /> by the manufacturers registered engineer. <br /> - Truss Joists and similar products shall be in talled in accordance with instuctions <br /> and details available from the supplier. <br /> - Double joists under parallel partitions. ' <br /> - Footings were designed for ZOc7b psf soil bear ng pressure - contactor/owner verify. <br /> - Wall footings to be stepped 1-vertical t,o 2-h rizontal where required. Provide minimun <br /> frost depth to bottom of footing of 42 or a required by the building official. No <br /> portion of the structure shall be placed on f ozen soil. <br /> - Doing whatever is necessary to provide a dry asement such as good drainage away from <br /> the house, drain tile around basement footing and rain gutters around the roof eves <br /> and danp-proofing the walls is the responsibility of the contractor and is not <br /> considered structural work. <br /> li S-S <br />
