Introduction <br /> A.1 Purpose <br /> - The purpose of this geotechnical evaluation was to assist you in the design of foundations and <br /> preparation of plans and specifications for the proposed house at 38XX Bayside Road in Orono, <br /> Minnesota. <br /> A.2 Scope <br /> The geotechnical evaluation was performerl in general accordance with our Confirmation of <br /> , Authorization letter to you dated December 14, 1992. <br /> Two standard penetration test borings were performed to depths of 20 feet in the proposed <br /> house area. With the results of these borings, this engineering report was prepared addressing <br /> our analysis and recommendations. It was not in our scope of work to explore for <br /> environmental contamination or pollution at this site. <br /> A.3 Available Information <br /> A topographic site plan showing the proposerl house location was provided to us. The plan was <br /> not titled or dated. <br /> A.4 Locations and Elevations <br /> The boring locations were selected by Mr. Paul Madson and were approximately shown on the <br /> � provided site plan. The boring locations in the field were also staked by Mr. Paul Madson. <br /> . Surface elevations at the borings were approximated by using the contours of the site plan <br /> provided. 'I'herefore, the ground surface elevations at the boring locafions should be considered <br /> approximate. <br />
