� <br /> ENERGY ENVELOPE CALCULATIONS <br /> 1473 BAY RIDGE ROAD <br /> The enclosed energy envelope calculations are based on the composite of the existing home, the new <br /> sun room and the new bedroom addition. The total project was recently presented to the Orono <br /> Planning Commission and City Council, and received approval for side setback and hardcover <br /> variances. <br /> The bedroom/garage addition is sited where the existing septic tanks are located. Since the <br /> neighborhood has unanimously petitioned for city sewer, we are hopeful that municipal sewer will <br /> come soon. If not, we will put in a new onsite mound septic system (we would be obligated to do <br /> so) and then proceed with the bedroom/garage addition. Therefore, it seems very appropriate to <br /> analyze the entire project from an energy envelope standpoint. The entire envelope meets the code. <br /> The total calculation shows an allowable envelope of 342.07 while the actual would be 338.47, <br /> therefore more efficient than the code. If the bedroom addition is not included, the allowable <br /> envelope would be 311.51 while the actual would be 316.63. <br />
