MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLA1vNING COMMISSIOIv MEETING <br /> Monday,June I5,2015 <br /> 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> Thiesse stated that would be too low for headlights to hit her house and is down at the street level. <br /> Delaney indicated there is an incline. <br /> Thiesse stated the incline is going the other way and that the headlights should be shining down on the <br /> street and not into her house. <br /> Delaney indicated the turnaround is at the same elevation as her house. <br /> Jagwell stated the driveway will not be three stalls wide. <br /> Delaney stated the driveway is 20 feet wide. <br /> Jagwell stated their biggest concern is to make sure everybody is happy and that they are not going to do <br /> something on the site that is not allowed. Jagwell stated they intend to meet with the neighbors and show <br /> them the plans. <br /> Delaney indicated she is not opposed to it but that she is expressing her concerns. <br /> Jagwell stated they could make the driveway approach from Woodhill. Jagwell indicated he would be <br /> happy to meet Mrs. Delaney on the site. <br /> Delaney asked what the stakes are for. <br /> John Brunello stated the stakes are for the driveway and are depicted as black dots on the plan. <br /> Leskinen encouraged the applicant to discuss the plans with the neighbors outside of the Planning <br /> Commission meeting. Leskinen noted the driveway is in a conforming location and that the applicant can <br /> meet with the neighbors to address their concerns. <br /> Leskinen stated the question for the Planning Commission is whether the practical difficulty standards <br /> have been met to grant a street side setback variance and in her opinion they have been met and are <br /> outlined sufficiently in Staffls report. <br /> Thiesse noted a detailed landscape plan should be provided. <br /> Leskinen asked if the Planning Commission feels the practical difficulty standards have been met. <br /> It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that they have been. <br /> Lemke moved,McGrann seconded,to recommend approval of Application No. 15-3744,John <br /> Brunello, 190 Orono Orchard Road South,granting of lot area,lot width,and side street setback <br /> variances,subject to the submittal of a detailed landscape plan and subject to Staff <br /> recommendations. <br /> Landgraver encouraged the applicant to meet with the Rokkes. <br /> VOTE: Ayes 6,Nays 0. <br /> Page 25 of 53 <br />
